The Academy today announced that the 2013 award goes to Aquaporin's Vice President, Research Claus Hélix-Nielsen, for his visionary contribution to establishing knowledge-based companies in Denmark to the inspiration of others.
The Danish Academy of Natural Sciences each year rewards a researcher from academia or industry with the Academy’s Industry Award. Candidates will all have made a special effort to promote the collaboration between one or more Danish companies and a Danish University.

Says Claus Hélix-Nielsen, - I am not only pleased but honored to accept this award. This truly inspires me to continue striving for excellence in such a crucial field as the science of biomimetics.
The prize will be officially presented at the annual Academy meeting on December 6.
